Congratulations, Kenny – the UCAN Spotlight Volunteer for April.
Kenny is a multi-talented volunteer! He joined the ranks of Caring Corps drivers in April 2012, driving clients on average of once a week. In addition, he serves as one of UCAN’s Home Repair Project Managers. Last summer, on one of the hottest days of the summer, he and Fred Koch (April 2012 Spotlight Volunteer) spent 8 hours restaining a wheelchair ramp. This winter Kenny loaded up his snowblower on more than one snow event and helped clear out several driveways and sidewalks. Recently he and Fred removed a very large pine tree that had been damaged in one of the early winter storms. Soon, they will be working to ‘shore-up’ a fence along a Caring Corps clients back property line.
